AVCA Preseason Poll Features Three From CVC

The 2018 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NCAA Division III Men's Preseason Poll includes three teams from the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC). Making the early Top 15 poll are Juniata College, Kean University, and Marymount University. In addition a fourth, Eastern Mennonite University is receiving votes.

Juniata, who won the 2017 CVC Tournament, comes in as the highest ranked CVC team at #6 in the nation. The Eagles finished last year with a 22-11 record, finishing 10th in the final AVCA poll. This year the picked up 198 total points in the preseason poll. 

CVC newcomer Kean is ranked 11th in the poll with 130 total points. The Cougars were 26-9 overall last year, finishing 13th in the final poll. 

Marymount totaled 45 points, tying for 14th in the poll. The Saints were 19-10 overall last season, winning the program's first-ever CVC regular season title.

Eastern Mennonite was just outside the Top 15 with 28 total points. 

The first official AVCA regular-season poll will be released on January 23.
