Marymount University jumped up six spots in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Men's Coaches Poll to #5 in the rankings. They lead a group of three Continental Volleyball Conference schools in the poll with Eastern Mennonite remaining in the receiving votes section.
Marymount moved up six spots after improving to 9-3 overall this season, going 2-0 last weekend with a win over then #6 ranked conference foe Kean University. Marymount picked up 191 total points in this week's poll, nearly 80 more than last week. The Saints will face two more conference opponents this weekend on the road including #8 ranked Juniata College.
The aforementioned Juniata received 156 total points and are tied with fellow CVC member Kean for 8th place in this week's poll. Juniata is currently 6-5 overall after going 2-0 last weekend, moving up one spot. They host ranked schools Marymount and #2 Stevens this weekend.
Kean fell two spots, picking up 156 points, after a 1-1 weekend. The Cougars are 7-2 overall this season and will face Wilkes and Arcadia on Saturday before returning to conference action next week.
Eastern Mennonite split their matches last weekend and are 5-3 overall this season. They received 12 total points in the poll, placing them in the receiving votes section.
The top four spots in the AVCA Top 15 poll went unchanged from last week with Springfield holding the top spot followed by Stevens, Carthage, and UC Santa Cruz. All 15 teams from last week's poll make up this week's poll members.
