Scarlet Raiders #5 for 3rd Straight Week

Rutgers University-Newark remains at #5 in the latest NVA/AVCA Men's Volleyball Division III Coaches Poll, the third straight week they have held that position. However, it also marks the third straight week the Scarlet Raiders have closed in on the #4 spot. Rutgers-Newark received 240 points this week and is now just five points away from the spot on the poll. This is the third consecutive week the Scarlet Raiders have picked up an increase in points. They are currently 22-3 overall and captured the 2022 CVC Tournament title over the weekend, earning the league's automatic bid to the national tournament. The Scarlet Raiders face Baruch on Friday in the opening round of the tournament. 

Southern Virginia University moved up one spot in the poll, despite falling to Rutgers-Newark in the CVC championship match. The Knights are 18-4 overall and received 183 points this week. They picked up an at-large bid to the national tournament. They will face St. Joseph's (L.I.) on Friday at 4 p.m.

Juniata College comes in at #11 on the poll with 82 points. The Eagles closed out their season with a 26-6 record.

Marymount moved up one spot to #13 this week with 74 points. The Saints are 23-4 overall and will be making the program's first-ever trip to the national tournament. The Saints take on New Paltz State on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the opening round.

In the second to last poll of the season, Springfield is once again in the top spot with 298 points. They are followed by Carthage, Dominican, and Stevens before arriving at a pair of CVC teams.
