Jackson Shafer becomes the first player from Wilkes University to be named the CVC Player of the Week, taking the conference honors for February 24, 2025. Shafer, a senior, helped his team to a 2-1 record on the week while recording his 1,000th career kill. 

The outside hitter averaged 4.4 kills and 2.3 digs per set while hitting .357 over the three matches. Shafer added five aces and four total blocks on the week, totaling 52.5 points. He had a high of 17 kills against Bard and reached double-digit kills in all three outings. He also tallied two double-doubles, recording 10 digs against Bard and Aloysius.
