It is championship weekend for the CVC where Juniata College, Kean University, Rutgers University-Newark, and Southern Virginia University will compete for the 2026 title. The tournament moves to Lexington, Virginia (hosted by Washington and Lee University) with the semifinal matches set for Friday, April 10 and the championship match set for Saturday, April 11.
Tickets must be purchased in advance via the online ticketing system, which can be found HERE. Tickets are $10 each day with students with IDs earning free admission.
The first semifinal match will be #2 Juniata against #3 Rutgers-Newark at 5:00 p.m. Juniata is 27-2 overall this season and are ranked second in the latest AVCA poll. The Eagles have won four CVC Championships in program history with their last coming in 2023. Rutgers-Newark comes in with a 19-8 overall record and are in search of their third championship in program history, with their last coming in 2022.
Friday's second semifinal match is #1 Southern Virginia against #5 Kean at 7:30 p.m. Southern Virginia is the two-time defending champion and are 27-4 overall this season. They are the 6th ranked team in the nation and have won four total conference titles in program history. Kean comes in with a 19-11 overall record and have one CVC Championship, coming in 2018.
The championship match will start at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
